The Survivor’s Art Project is growing. Our first art show in April 2026 was a great success. We showed the work of a number of artists who showed their work to an opening reception of over 75 people.

What’s next? We are planning a spoken word/poetry event later in 2026, as well as a workshop in the works where participants can use art to further their recovery and take home their own piece of art.

Did we hear someone say dance? We are discussing a dance experience for survivors and their allies to move and dance in a safe, comfortable space. It doesn’t matter how well you can move; it's more about freeing your body from shame.

Are you interested in participating or volunteering? We would love to have you participate.

ABOUT THE PROJECT.

This is a community-based art show that provides an opportunity for survivors of childhood sexual abuse to showcase their art in a supportive and empowering community space.

The art exhibit helps survivors on their journey to healing and recovery, and raises awareness of this issue. The art show opened April 3, 2026 at The Art Center of Rochester..

About

OUR PURPOSE.

An inspiring event organized by Beth Bloom, Patricia Uleskey, Kim Brumber, and Leni Rayburn. This initiative began with the powerful realization of art's healing capabilities.

Our goal is to create a welcoming space where individuals can come together to experience this healing journey. Together, we aim to grow this movement from Rochester and Monroe County to a national level.
